Ace o’ Clubs

A collecting game about cardboard. Print numbers issued once. Grades rolled once. Wear that never comes off.

Exhibit A

Six cards from Ace o' Clubs, showing print numbers, grades and mastery stars.
Print #1!

There is only one

The first Batman pulled by anybody, anywhere, is print #1. Numbers are global and permanent. Nobody gets a second one.

Krak!

Grades are real

Rolled the moment a card is minted and never changed. A Poor card has creases, thumbprints, sun bleaching, and a corner folded right off the card.

Zap!

Misprints happen

Rarer than a Mint card: a miscut, a ghosted second impression, an off-register press. A Played misprint is as real a find as a clean one.

The ladder

Climb with what you own

Five cards, played one at a time. Two from the same affiliation back to back build a combo, so which characters you own together matters as much as how strong they are.

The shelf

600+ real issues

A second collection with the actual covers, graded like the cards. Finish runs. Fill all four ages. Merge duplicates into better copies.

The pen

Sign your cards

Your own handwriting across the art, in ink that smudges and lifts as you keep playing that card. Four names to a card, and nothing removes one.

The market

Trade and sell

Baskets of cards, items and currency both ways, or put something on the board at an asking price and let a buyer come to you.

The honest bit

What the subscription is, exactly

It pays for hosting. It gives a daily crate of materials, an auto-play convenience, six packs opened in one press instead of six, and a bit more of what time gives you anyway: 10% more dispatches, back 25% faster, and 25% more shelf.

  • No attack, no health, no drop rates, no pull odds, no ladder rewards.
  • Never a card. Every character in the game is free to everybody.
  • No stage is reachable only by subscribers.
  • Six packs at once is six packs rolled one by one. It buys presses, not cards.
  • All of it is enforced by tests that fail the build.

Getting started

Type /help

Open your starter packs with /open, set a line-up with /team best, then /advance up the ladder. Every command works as a slash command or as chat: o open, o advance, o c list, whichever suits your server.
